Crazy Tales Of My Drunk Texts
My drunk texts over the years have been some of the funniest, most embarrassing and all out crazy that I have ever sent and received. Normally, the text message is used as a quick and easy way to get in touch with people. During the day, sober, it is a great way to arrange a night out, see how people or doing, or anything else that doesn’t really require a full phone call. When alcohol is added to the mix, things get a whole lot less sensible! I’ll now share some of the craziest stories about my drunk texts.
The stories about my drunk texts are usually either really funny, or really embarrassing, which is funny for the people listening! Some of the funniest drunk texts I have ever sent have involved the wrong people. For instance, my Dad has received messages meant only for the eyes of my close friend Dan! The times he’s actually figured out how to use his cell phone to read the messages, I’m sure my Dad has been massively entertained with my updates of how much I’ve drunk and who the hottest girl in the club is. Sorry Dad! Blame Dan when you next see him.
Mistaken identity has also been the basis for some of the most embarrassing of my drunk texts. Have you ever had two people in your life with the same name, but totally different roles? I have. Once I was dating a girl named Nicole, which also happened to be the name of my supervisor at work. When sober, they were easy to tell apart, thanks to having different surname initials. After a night of doing shots, telling Nicole D and Nicole B apart wasn’t as easy! My supervisor received some very inappropriate messages, and my girlfriend loved hearing about how I wouldn’t be making it into work the next day. Bad times!
Some of my drunk texts stories don’t involve mistakes I’ve made, thankfully. Some of the funniest texts my phone has ever witnessed have come from drunken people. You ever give someone your number just to get rid of them? That’s definitely annoying. But nowhere near as annoying as when they start blowing up your inbox with non-stop alcohol fuelled nonsense. These can be irritating at the time but entertaining to laugh about with friends the next day. When looking through drunk texts of others, it’s only natural to think ‘Thank God those aren’t my drunk texts!’.
Although I don’t think it’s always a good thing to go out and get blasted and sound off by text message, it can definitely make for a funny or embarrassing moment the next day. My drunk texts have bought me a lot more laughter than they have misery. If you go out, get drunk, and start texting, try do it in a good, fun and happy mood. That way, the next day, you can tell yourself “Hey, my drunk texts will sure make a good story!”.
